Carissa Barina, M.D.

Carissa M. Barina, M.D. specializes in cataract surgery with advanced technology lens implants, laser vision correction, and ocular plastic surgery. She also manages diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and provides comprehensive eye exams. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Purdue University, Master of Science degree in Pathology from Indiana University, and medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in medical and surgical ophthalmology at Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Barina is a Board Certified Ophthalmic Surgeon and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, Indiana State Medical Association, Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology and Indianapolis Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Barina serves as a board member for the Indiana Academy of Ophthalmology and is also a volunteer faculty member at Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology.
