IRPL Treatment
Find Relief from Dry Eyes with IRPL Treatment: Experience Fast and Lasting Comfort!
With the rising prevalence among both the aging population and youth, Dry Eye Disease is becoming a pressing issue. Why endure the discomfort and longer? Let our skilled doctors offer you prompt and enduring relief. It is important to note that the majority, a staggering 86%, of individuals experiencing dry eye have the evaporative form, specifically caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGC). That’s where the specialized Intense Regulated Pulsed Light (IRPL) therapy comes in, tailored to effectively address and treat this particular type of dry eye.
Intense Regulated Pulsed Light targets Dry Eye at its source by:
- Unclogging meibomian glands
- Improving meibomian gland function
- Reducing inflammation
- Improving tear film quality and stability by restoring the lipid layer of the tear film covering your eyes
In contrast to previous treatments, IRPL therapy has the potential to regenerate the structure of the meibomian gland.

How does IRPL Work?
The IRPL incorporates patented technology that generates carefully calibrated and uniformly sequenced light pulses. These controlled light pulses are specifically designed to target the nerves connected to the Meibomian Glands, encouraging their restoration to normal functionality. This non-invasive, painless treatment does no harm to the eye.
Each session of the treatment is completed within a few minutes, ensuring convenience for patients. They are comfortably seated throughout the process, with a protective eye mask placed over their eyes. A gel is applied to the cheekbones and temporal areas, and a series of 5 flashes is administered both below and above each eye. Following the treatment, the gel is gently wiped off, marking the completion of the procedure.
Simple, Fast and Highly Efficient
For optimal results, the patient will undergo 3-4 sessions of treatment. These sessions will be scheduled within a specific timeframe to ensure the best outcomes. We highly recommend a minimum of 3 treatments and, based on your unique requirements, we will provide guidance on whether a 4th treatment is advisable.
How long will the treatment provide relief from Dry Eye?
The effects of each IRPL treatment are cumulative, with each session building upon the previous one. Patients typically start experiencing relief after the 3rd and 4th treatments. Studies indicate that a single maintenance treatment per year is often necessary, although the frequency may vary depending on the individual symptoms of each patient.
Who Will Benefit from the IRPL Treatment?
Based on your test results and medical history, our doctors will recommend the IRPL treatment if you meet the following criteria:
- You experience chronic dry eye
- You have been diagnosed with meibomian gland dysfunction
- Previous treatments have failed to provide lasting relief
- Your meibomian glands have undergone deterioration
